Alvin was quite busy in 2009 despite the economic crisis that beset the world in 2009. He had a good run on several of his exhibits in Manila. First to kick off is his Finale Exhbit held in April 2009. Below are pictures from his show.

2008: Latest Works

Just got these pictures from Alvin who completed several shows in the first half of 2008. The busy artist had exhibits in West Gallery at the Megamall and Finale Art Gallery in Quezon City. Here are several of his latest works.

Other New Works

2007 artworks

Alvin has come a long way from the many years he has been working on oil on canvas and his varied styles and approaches to painting, his colours and impressions have also shown a great breadth of variety and scope. His 2007 artworks continue to show evolution as well as refinement of previous works. Here are some of his 2007 paintings.





Then he had a phase of huge clouds burgeoning from a distance, an eerie sense of something huge happening to the point of being ominous.



He also expounded some more on his nostalgic subjects showcasing more and more the feeling of war at hand or just thereabouts. They are truly moving if not, and yet again, sageful in their unspoken but palpable warnings about delicacy of the world we live in.







It seems that he had finally conquered light in many of his paintings and now he is trying his skills in depicting motion as you can see in many of his paintings this particular year.




Still some more that don't quite come under any general heading but are uniquely Alvin's own.
